Maine's northernmost county, Aroostook, is known for agriculture, outdoor recreation, and congenial towns. Made on the occasion of Presque Isle's centennial in 1920, this is a record of life in and around the town. Professionally filmed and titled, the film includes shots of businesses on Main Street such as the Opera House, potato and apple harvesting, hunting camps, nearby Grand Falls, and the Aroostook Valley Railroad, an electric trolley line. A.R. Gould, a businessman and politician, and W.W. Thomas, responsible for Swedish immigration to Aroostook County, The music added to this silent film is from songs of the period compiled by Maine silent film accompanist Danny Patt.
