“When the harvest is in, these Paul Bunyans of the deep woods play just as hard as they have worked. They make Tall Timber Days an annual celebration filled with color and action. Fun for everyone!”
What did woods workers do when they were not felling trees? In western Maine they had contests during hometown celebrations with names like: Tall Timber Days, Lumber Jack Round-Up and Lumberjack Day. This film follows these merry events and features festivities in Rockwood, Eustis, Stratton and Ashland in the late 1960’s.
